I like that the nimbus is consistent and is always the same productI had been wearing the Gel Cumulus shoes for years, buying one pair after another when a pair wore out, typically after about a year. I have underpronation, with underside heel pain, and thus need lots of cushioning. The last few pairs of Gel Cumulus shoes haven’t been cushiony enough for about the past 3 or 4 models, and the toeboxes have felt pointed and tight. I decided it was time to try the Nimbus, and I’m glad I did.I have always worn an 8.5 in Asics, and these 8.5s also fit perfectly. The sole felt a little hard at first, similar to the newer Cumuluses, so I wore them around the house for a few hours to be sure about what I was feeling. Within a little while I could tell these are better than the recent Cumuluses, and even the toebox feels a little roomier. The cushioning in the heel, while not being as luxuriously soft as I would like, still feels sufficiently soft and supportive. The cushioning under the toes is fine - not too hard, but not as soft as it should ideally be.I’ve decided to keep these shoes, as they feel good enough to do the job (allowing me to live my daily life without foot pain!), and I do like the navy color scheme too (they coordinate well with dark jeans).I ordered these shoes after reading some comparisons online. I have high arches and I supinate/over-pronate so I (used to!) to hurt my knees when I run. These shoes have been a total game changer for me.First of all—these don’t have arch supports as you might expect. Instead the outer edge of the sole is thicker. It took a minute to get my brain around that, given a decade and a half of thinking that was what I “need.” The first few days felt weird, and honestly my feet and shins were probably confused and maybe a little sore tbh. But now that they’re more broken in and I have adjusted my gait, I can’t imagine wearing any other type of running shoe. The shoes have a mesh upper so your feet stay cool inside. Sweat and being smelly aren’t an issue. We will see how I feel about this feature when the weather turns cooler...They’re not super cushioned so if you’re into that sort of thing you might want to supplement that.Toe box isn’t as wide as the Brooks ghost. Whether that is a pro or con is probably just a matter of preference, I would imagine.Colors and materials of the shoe I picked are perfect. The gray is a nice neutral and the blush pink is so cute.I first bought a 9.5 and it was way too small, like the toe box was short and the width was too tight. Instead of going up to the 10 I decided to do the 10.5 and I think I made the righ choice. In regular shoes I'm normally 9.5 M or 10 M and in my previous athletic shoes from another brand I got a 9.5 M. It is a comfortable shoe and I think I will enjoy running in them. With the 10.5 M the lenght is better, I have about a whole thumb's width, where as my toe was right there at the edge. The width is better since I can more my toes and it doesn't feel like the top of my foot is being squeed to death. If you are reading this, I recomend going up one whole size rather than a 1/2 size. It's hard to say if the 10M would work for me but I highly doubt it due to how the 9.5M was fiting. If it changes I will send an update. These arrived today and I tried them on as soon as I got home from work. They seemed quite snug on my feet. My true normal size is 6.5 D (wide), so I typically order a 7 in athletic shoes and have no issues. However, this time they seemed to run smaller than usual, I felt like I had stuffed my feet in them. Maybe my feet were a little swollen, however, I wore another pair of ASICS, the exact same size, all day at work the same day I tried these on and they were a little to tight on my feet.Just my three cents. I don't think they will work out though, seemed to tight.Great looking shoeI wore the Nimbus 18 for years and absolutely loved them. However, as happens to all well-worn shoes, they started to fall apart. I naively thought that I could just re-purchase the same pair, but I couldn't find them for sale in my size anywhere. I saw that the Nimbus 19 and 20 were now available, so I started looking into both. A lot of the reviews on the 20 complained that they did not measure up to the quality of the Nimbus 16 and 18 (smaller toe box, not as comfortable), so I was hesitant to buy these, but I took a risk based on the reviews that said they were comparable (and I really didn't want to start researching any other brands).I bought the Nimbus 20 in the same size as my Nimbus 18, and they fit perfectly. I do notice that the toe box is slightly more narrow than the 18, but it's not something that I've had any issues with since I got them a few weeks ago. The shoe is lighter than the 18, but does not seem to sacrifice cushion/comfort. I'm pleasantly satisfied and relieved that the 20 fit the bill for me!Loved this shoe. My only complaint is I wish they lasted longer. I’ve had mine about a year and they’re still working well, but I can tell they’re wearing down a bit. For the price I ant them to last just a little longer.I actually have two pairs in gray and black and have been alternating back and forth.I’m not crazy hard on my sneakers, but I do hit the gym a lot (well I used to before all this virus came around) and I also wear them a lot for just general use.I love ASICS and my closet looks like an ASICS graveyard. I’ve gone through about 8 pairs in the last 5-6 years. I also have really narrow flat feet for reference.Trainers are very light and feel great on you feet but the sizes come up small. I ordered a size 4 but have to return to amazon for a size 4.5 and wait 10 days for the replacement pair which is annoying as I have Plantar Fasciitis and working out is painful! For my wife. She like them so much that those are the second pair of the same model (Nimbus-20). Before she had the first pair she had constant pain in the foot after a simple 6/7 mile run. Once she bought those she is running already half-marathons without any issue.Great running shoes, comfy and fit true to size I bought 5.5 uk size as u should go up half size when running - I do love ASICS trainersHaving red reviews regarding nimbus 19 fit, bit worried about purchasing. It seems however that Asics have rectified the sizing/fit issues and the 20 is the same as my previous nimbus 17. No problems when I did 5.5 miles. Not sure the inner sole is as cushioned as previous models.I love my yellow trainers. I wish I had gone one size up though instead of only half a size as it feels a bit tight even if you have narrow feet.
