Barely had them for a month and the bottoms are already coming apart. Disappointed will not be buying again.Update: within a day of emailing Altra customer support I was asked to send pictures of the shoes and received a response they were under warranty. They sent me a coupon code for a free replacement of my choosing. Great customer supportI’ve had 4 pairs of previous Torins, 4’s and 4.5’s as well as a pair of the solstice in the last 5 yrs and have really been pleased. I just got the Torin 6 so I so t know how it’ll hold up. The fit feels similar to previous models but feels slightly narrower and definitely less roomy top to bottom in the toe area. The snug heel seems fine, the height of the back of the shoe is a great height coming over my heel.The tongue tho… The edge is not padded at all, very thin, long and like I read about in the 5, it cuts into the front of my ankle. It seems like Altra was looking for ways to cut costs and cheaped out on the tongue. It feels like something one would find on the tongue of a Payless shoe store brand shoe - not a $160 shoe. In the photos the navy is the 6, the grey 4, and the black the solstice. I’m planning to try the shoe with higher socks and see how it feels. I’d really like to keep the shoe, but the tongue issue may be a deal breaker.No break-in period needed with these shoes. The toe box is wide and comfortable, but the heel fits trimly. The sharp tongue problem was corrected from the Torin 5. I have no complains with the shoe. I did get the gray and it was a bit lighter in color, so gets dirty easily.Very Comfortable
