Very ?Great support for flat feet.Very comfortable, light, fit perfectThe GT-4000 is the lightest, most comfortable running shoe that I have ever worn. Great stability, cushion, and breathability. I went up a half size from my normal. Now just wish I could find a second pair in a different color.Great for stability, unfortunately I will need to return because of the ball of the foot which is painfully tight. This has been a trend with Asics shoes: the Gel-Kayano, which was comfortably wide and one of the best shoes I have ever worn, is now much tighter in the ball of the foot in the new models.Not for you if you have a little wider feet. Wayyy too tight.Asics discontinued the Gel Evolution which was formerly my favorite shoe because I’m a severe overpronater who needs serious stability. Other stability running shoes scream “orthopedic!” And look like old lady shoes. These look great and have the stiffness I need. They are very true to size. They are atheists best replacement for the Gel Evolution that I have found. That said, they aren’t quite as cushy and the arch is slightly lower. I fixed this with superfeet insoles and I’m a happy girl. I ordered three more pair!I can't rate this shoe low enough compared to the GT 4000. I pronate and need the instep to pull up. The new version eliminated the separate panels to pull up. The shoe won't support my instep. Second, they are slightly narrower at the base of the laces - too tight for my ball joint. Last, and not so important, this version does not have toecap protection strip. The fabric is going to wear through, get dirty and wet. I've wasted my money on these. Sooo disappointed. (I've been wearing this shoe since it first hit the market - 15-20 pares.)
