In reading other reviews it seems these shoes run large. I have been buying size 9 for years and they are always a tiny bit loose but 8-1/2 or 8 are too small. So I was cautious and went down to 8-1/2 when I ordered these. They arrive SO quick. When I tried them on the toe area fit perfect but I must have a thin heel because the heel is very loose. I can wear these with thick socks. I live the mountains in N. California and take my dog on dirt trails through the woods every day so having to wear thick socks will be ok. The shoes are very comfortable and seem well made. After about 15 minutes I actually feel very grounded as I walk through the woods. If I buy them again I will get the size 8. I probably should have returned them for a size 8 but by the time I realized how loose they were I had already worn them outside. I am so excited to have some shoes that can ground me while I take my daily walks in the woods!
