I wear a women's 840v4 8.5 2E. This shoe is okay. It has a large toe box. A Sl-2 last is used to make it.This last is much rounder in the forefoot. This is good for wide feet. The cushioning is good. But do notexpect more than 400 miles running on pavement. Also, if you run fast on pavement, it seems from mypoint of view to break down faster. Hence, glide. Say to yourself, "Relax, run smooth, run efficient, and glide."If you do this, you'll get 400 miles. These shoes will be stiff at first. Take your time. By 100 miles theyare molded to your feet. Also, suppose you wear full length orthotics. Then remove NB foot beds. Insert orthotics. They will fit. I've done it for years with "crazy" feet. I buy these because I cannot findanother running shoe that fits these "crazy" feet. (I tried NB 990's. Well, I call them the Hurricanes. Why?They have excellent cushioning. You'll not feel any road for over 650 miles. But they feel heavy. Yourcalves will know it. And, well, as I always say, "Suppose that you are in a hurricane. You are wearing theseshoes. You will not blow over. This is my point of view. At 100 lb. you'll still be standing in a hurricanewith the 990's.) Are there better shoes? Sure! But the best ones to wear are the ones that fit you.If blisters start in the first 20 miles, look for a different size or shoe. Let me add one more thing, I havenever worn out the bottom a running shoe. Would I wear these for a trail run? It would depend onthe trail. A flat dirt trail would probably be okay. I would have my questions about jumping on logs, running on large rocks, or equivalent. However, if you are like me, you have only one choice. The choicecurrently is the NB840v4. Before you try trail runs, practice on rocks, logs, water, and. so on. And byall means becareful and build up confidence before you go for the REAL ADVENTURE. (PLESE CHECK WITHCOMMENTS FROM OTHERS. WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN POINT OF VIEW.)What about rain, snow, hail, & ice? In rain your feet will be wet. Take everything out of at the insideof the shoe. Use a paper towel to dry the inside out & some of the outside. Let them dry naturally.Even if they are not dry the next day. Run in them. Light snow is not bad. But when there is 12" ofsnow it is hard to run in. Light hail hurts the face. I'm not interested in large hail. The last is ice.I have run in places where there is ice. And the advise that I can give is: "Be extremely careful whenyou run where there ice! All this has been done with the women's NB 840's.Good Luck!Very comfortable with good support. Just bought 2 new pair to rotate. Wear with stay dry socks and silicone heel cups.Great comfort for wide feet and bunions. Plenty of room in box of shoe. Very comfortable for running and power walking. Have used same style for past 12 years. Great shoe except price is a little much.really comfortable shoes. I use them for fitness classes and walking. They fit well. I wear a 9.5 B and have a narrow heel. I do not notice much heel slippage and what there is has not been a problem.I have a pair of these already and they are the most comfortable sneaker I ownI needed a shoe with good heel stability and this is it. My feet are a little narrow and fit is snug all around and quite comfortable. I tend to get hip pain, but this shoe is cushioned enough that it has not been a problem.Like the shoe for running but I need inserts because of high arches; I have a double AA narrow foot; great fit for slender feet; no complaintsAEl calzado es en realidad cómodo. Se ajusta perfectamente al pie, los materiales de fábrica son duraderos y el soporte que se siente en el arco no se siente con la mayoría de otras marcas. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Si, es algo caro pero es porque en verdad ofrecen calidad. The box said 2E. The shoes inside have a tag that says E. They are too narrow. I thought shipping was included! Why did I get a bill from FedEx for $12.95? I refuse to pay this. This running shoe is the best for my 12 hour busy running around nursing work shifts. So comfortable. Love them.
